I know that there is a trick to do this. From my understanding I need to enter a series of commands to program buttons to do volume up and down, and even mute on my audio receiver. The only instructions I've found are for the older remotes with the AUX, TV, Cable, options.
With this being an XR11 it is basically a universal remote that needs to be programmed correctly with my Sony DAV HDX 500. Can anyone with this remote explain to me how I can get my cable remote to talk to my audio receiver so I can start consolidating my remotes?
Edit: whenever I use any code starting with 2, the cable remote will input channel numbers proceeding 2, instead of waiting for the string of numbers.
